Orange cloth bound notebook

An essential companion to everyday life, this notebook can be slipped into your bag or be kept close to hand at home. A few words, a striking phrase, a smile that inspires long verses... So many things can be noted in this type of notebook that you always carry with you. Scribbled or written with your most beautiful pen in this notebook made in France, in my workshop between Ariège and Aude. The colours of the cloth and paper are invigorating and suit todays tastes. The outer paper is a hand decorated paper and because of this, the patterns are not exactly the same on one side and the other.

 

The body of the book includes 60 pages on nice ivory colored paper. Its thickness, plain, 120gsm thickness allows you to write or draw. The coloured endpaper protect it well.

Bookbinding Technique 

I start with loose sheets of paper that I glue and consolidate with thread, all covered with gauze. This constitutes is the body of the book. A three-part structure (two cover boards and the spine) is created. This receives the materials for covering:  cloth and paper. It's then time for me to assemble the inside block of paper and the wraparound structure. One more step of drying and the small notebook is ready to leave my workshop in the Pyrenees to take the road home to you.
